Fairly new to the scene, Rui Ferreira quietly started making ripples after being taken in by Jorge Caiado and the Carpet & Snares Records crew.
Being behind the counter at the record shop did the trick, adding massively to his already seasoned musical trove and setting him on course for future achievements.
His passion for the scene keeps earning him places next to prime movers, and the music he plays has already got him behind the decks at some of the city’s most iconic clubs like Europa, Musicbox, Ministerium, Indústria, Gare, and Lux.
His own label Dream Ticket has been putting out exciting music from newcomers and tested artists and is showing no signs of stopping.
He’s also a former member of the electronic music platform Watch The Hype, where he managed both promotions and premieres on their Youtube and Soundcloud channels.
Artists such as Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert, Basic Channel, Robert Hood, and Drexciya, will give you a broad idea of what to expect from his DJ sets, but adapting to the venue and the crowd is to him as important as his artistic drive when playing.
